At this point I’m glad they don’t.
I’ve lost trust in Apple to make new well thought out features that can actually replace the third party ones while keeping feature parity let alone being better now.

Just look at Stage Manager, people can’t even understand what to use it for when it has more problems than it solves which isn’t many to count tbh.
They also built an entirely new app Freeform which doesn’t even let me export or import its ‘Boards’.
Obsidian also added this feature called Canvas (basically whole Freeform) into their app and they open sourced a new file format for it so that anyone can do whatever they want with it which should have been done already by Apple for their entire new app.
I can reliably use Rectangle or Raycast to do Window snapping without any issues right now but I can see conflicts coming when Apple comes out with their own half baked solution. (I bet it won’t have the keyboard shortcuts let alone letting me customize them to my preference if they ever sherlock Rectangle app).
Spotlight is so much behind in speed and feature set vs Raycast, Alfred that it’s embarrassing. Nobody should be using Spotlight when Raycast exists and it’s free.

To me, Apple Software has become incompetent and I haven’t even mention about the mess that iOS 16 is.

Also, the whole selling point of the 14 Pro was a black rectangle with a large corner radii that contains notifications with nice animations which so happens to align with the hole punch shape and now it’s called *fixing hardware issues with software*.

I’ll boldly claim that Android 13 is a more stable and reliable standalone platform right now. If only app developers cared about supporting Android apps properly and not using decade old stuffs.

Do we talk about how iPadOS is iOS but always one version behind so that they can talk about the same features in two keynotes? Y’all must be enjoying the lock screen customisation on iPadOS 16..oh wait.

I’m not even gonna talk about the new Ventura Settings. There are plenty of articles already.

Apple should really start fixing the age old nonsense UI choices and feature deficiencies that have been perfect in other OSs like T9 dialling, call logs more than just the last 100, Safari Previous page (that reloads), global back gesture enforcing, Spaces, etc.
